About Us

Grace’s Place is a family-owned child care center open since 1995. Every year we strive to improve our relationship with the community, keep apprised of the new trends in child care and continue to accelerate in quality care.
We have recently partnered with the state of Illinois opening our first Preschool For All classroom. We work closely with Child Care Resource and Referral’s Infant/Toddler specialist as well as their Child Care Quality specialist. Child Care Resource and Referral also provides child care at a low rate. Click the Child Care Help tab to see if you qualify! Our Story

Grace's Place, a premier day care center in Plano, IL, is owned and operated by Margaret Keough. After graduating from Marquette University with a degree in early childhood education, Margaret became a mother to four beautiful children. She quickly realized that she needed to take care of her own family but also wanted to extend child care to the community. In 1995 Margaret Keogh opened the doors to her business, which has been thriving ever since.

Grace's Place is a child care center that specializes in social-emotional learning, STEM programs, sensory play, language arts, and fine motor skills. The program aims to help children develop a strong sense of self-awareness and empathy for others. It also provides opportunities for children to develop their critical thinking skills through the use of hands-on activities and games. Our mission is to help children develop the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond, starting at a young age.

Our facility has been designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment that is comfortable and stimulating for children. Our staff members are trained in first aid and CPR, as well as in child development. They have experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children. We understand that each child is unique, so we offer individualized attention to meet each child's needs.

Our after-school program offers a safe haven for children to come and play with their friends during the summer months. We are committed to giving our students the best possible experience in order to foster a lifelong love of learning. Summer camp is also something that we offer. Our summer camps focus on teaching children about nature and how it affects them. We believe that this type of education will help kids become more environmentally conscious adults.
